1. Store the universal motor speed control in a clean and dry location.

2. To clean, wipe the unit off with a clean. Damp cloth, never use chemicals or  solvents to clean.

3. If the fuse blows, you may be using a tool that uses more current than the universal  motor speed control can provide (see specifications). Replace with a 10 amp rated  fuse.

You will need the manual for the safety warnings and precautions, assembly instructions,  operating and maintenance procedures, parts list and diagram. Keep your invoice with  this manual. Write the invoice number on the inside of the front cover. Keep the manual  and invoice in a safe and dry place for future reference


1. Before using, read and understand all instructions and safety warnings in the instruction manual provided by the manufacturer if the router being used. Verify that the router's trigger switch is in the off position; plug the routers'electrical cord into the outlet on the universal motor control.

2. Insert the universal motor speed control plug into an electrical outlet or extension cord (see safety precaution#16 regarding extension cords).

3. For variable speed control set the rocker switch to VAR and turns the speed Knob to low, medium, or high speed.

4. For full speed operation, set the rocker switch to full.

5. When ready, press the router's trigger switch to the on position to begin routing.

6. During variable speed operation, you can release the router's trigger switch and turn the speed knob to another speed, then resume work.

7. When finished, release the routers'trigger switch and press the rocker switch to the (center) off position.

8. Unplug the universal motor speed control the electrical outlet
